Nichole Elizabeth, President
Nichole serves as President of the Board of Directors and CEO of Ksalsuti.

Sydney Paul, Treasurer
Sydney Paul is a proud Wolastoqiyik woman from Bilijk First Nation. A devoted mother to her
beautiful daughter, Sloan Morning Star, and her handsome son, Creedence Douglas, Sydney is
deeply rooted in her community and culture while also excelling in her professional pursuits.
She graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business
Administration (BBA). Committed to lifelong learning, she went on to earn a Master’s
Certificate in Project Management from UNB Extended Learning, as well as a Certificate in First
Nation Taxation Administration from Thompson Rivers University. Most recently, in 2024,
Sydney achieved certification as a Professional Aboriginal Economic Developer (PAED)
through the Council for the Advancement of Native Development Officers (CANDO).
Sydney’s professional journey includes significant leadership roles such as Band Manager and
Director of Economic Development for her home community of Bilijk. She currently serves as
the Economic Development Officer for Natoaganeg, where she continues to pursue her passion
for empowering Indigenous communities. In recognition of her dedication and impact, Sydney was honored with the Joint Economic Development Initiative (JEDI) EDO Achievement Award in June 2025.
For over a decade, Sydney has worked tirelessly to support Indigenous self-sufficiency and self-
reliance. Her mission is to help Indigenous individuals and communities thrive—economically,
socially, and culturally. Outside of her professional life, Sydney enjoys staying active through CrossFit and golf, and cherishes making memories with her children, family, and friends.

Adam Peter-Paul
Adam from Pabineau First Nation and serves as an RCMP Officer in Elsipogtog First Nation. He brings experience in community policing and has worked with intimate partner violence survivors.

Jarrett Francis
Jarrett serves as Director of the Office of First Nation Education with EECD. Originally from the Mi'kmaq community of Elsipogtog, NB, Jarrett was raised in the Mi’gmaq language and later learned English as a second language in school. With a BEd in Indigenous Education from Cape Breton University and a Master’s degree from McGill University, Jarret brings both academic and lived experience to Indigenous education, serving as vice principal and later principal of Alaqsitew Gitpu School in Listuguj, Quebec, supporting Mi’gmaq language immersion. Before entering the field of education, Jarrett had a distinguished 26-year career with the RCMP, retiring as a Sergeant. This experience helped shape a leadership style rooted in collaboration, community engagement, and a deep commitment to Indigenous youth and education.

Malian Levi
Malian Levi is a Mi’kmaq lawyer from Elsipogtog First Nation in New Brunswick. She graduated from Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law in 2018 and was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2019. Most recently, Malian completed her Master of Law degree at Dalhousie University, where her research focused on revitalizing Mi’kmaq traditional laws and governance systems. Malian practices law in New Brunswick, and has recently opened her own law practice, Levi Law, located in Elsipogtog First Nation. She is deeply passionate about protecting and advancing Aboriginal and Treaty rights of Indigenous peoples, while actively promoting cultural awareness and supporting Indigenous strength and self-determination.
Jenica Atwin
Jenica is a former teacher for the Anglophone West School District for First Nations Education, two time elected Member of Parliament for the Fredericton area and former Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services Canada. Jenica served on the Standing Committee on Government Operations Senate, Library of Parliament Senate, Scrutiny of Regulations, and as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs. She is a recipient of the distinguished Queen's Jubilee Medal and King's Coronation Medal.
